"The arrival of Australia’s first 10X Chromium platform at the Genomics Innovation Hub allowed us to have early access to the latest single cell RNA-seq technology. We were able to quickly and reliably generate and interrogate the transcriptome of thousands of mammary epithelial cells isolated from different development stages. This work revealed novel cell surface markers and previously unknown rare epithelial cell populations which has advanced our knowledge of mammary epithelial cellular hierarchy. This study is accepted for publication in the journal Nature Communications."
